I like the new Mail design on iPhone but I'm going to have to rethink how I manage mail. I previously had folders I'd move mail to after reading, like receipt, delivery, archive, or trash.
Now these folders automatically sort the mail, but only in the inbox. So I suppose I should still triage my mail the same way?
I feel like I'm missing something. There's no way you're supposed to just leave the mail there in the inbox right? Is this just a basic triage tool, meant to help sort incoming mail?
Feels like they need to make this more than just a sorting tool. Give me actions. Like let me set up a swipe per area. Swipe to move to my receipt folder if I'm in the transaction view, for example.
Or, perhaps they should let the sorting options appear everywhere. Let me send everything to archive and see the same sorting applied there.
I'm just not sure what Apple expects you to do here. Like, what's their pitch here?
