Manning and his ilk are always quick to blame everything on the Liberals in Ottawa. And will Mark Carney, should he win, demand that Alberta and Saskatchewan secede? Of course not. But far better to stir up bad feelings in those incapable of critical thought than work with the government of the day, regardless of political stripe.

@blusqueencindy Tariffs are a tax. The new plan is to tariff China for low priced items (which are currently exempt) and pass them on to consumers.
That money would go to the ERS.
Right wing influencers are saying that means the IRS and income tax go away. That’s nonsense.
@dangillmor People don't have an instinctual understanding for large numbers, and often they are easier to understand if we divide by the population. So a billion dollars is about $3 per American, a trillion is $3,000 per American, 6 trillion is $18,000 per American. That is a huge number. What time period are they talking about? Something in that range is believable if the price of everything suddenly jumps.
