Das Elektroauto Spring soll weiter von Dacia produziert werden, als einziges Elektroauto der Billig-Marke. Allerdings könnten auch hier die Einfuhrzölle der EU zuschlagen, da er in China produziert wird. DIe Auto-Motor-Sport berichtet, Renault überlege die Produktion nach Europa zu verlagern. Vermutlich könnte nur dann der Preis unter 20t€ gehalten werden. Ansonsten werden alle Elektroautos unter der Marke Renault laufen.

On 24 October 2024 #Poland Ministry of Defense presented the report on the legal and professional aspects of the work of the “Subcommittee for the Re-investigation of the Smolensk Air Crash” which was created by the previous PiS government to investigate the 2010 Smoleńsk air crash of presidential Tu-154 for the fourth time.

The report concluded that the “Subcommittee” operated in a way suggesting that its only purpose for was to promote a singly hypothesis - that of an explosion onboard - while disregarding any other evidence. Conclusion of the “Subcommittee” were inconsistent with the existing evidence and laws of physics, while its work costed the state budget over 80 million PLN, including irreversible damage to a twin Tu-154 inflicted during “Subcommittee” experiments.

Personally, I believe what the PiS government did around the Smoleńsk disaster was one of the most miserable political stunts in Polish history. The idea that the Tu-154 was blown up by #Russia was unsupported by any evidence and, most importantly, it contradicted massive body of evidence of how things developed prior to the crash. The thing was the aircraft did not just crash unexpectedly during a perfectly normal flight - quite the opposite, the flight from the start happened in violation of all possible safety and flight procedures. Shortly before the crash another crew warned the Tu-154 pilots the situation on the ground is “fucked up” due to extremely dense fog. Minutes and seconds before the crash the onboard TAWS (terrain awareness and warning system) was alarming the crew about an imminent crash, while the crew continued deliberations about “needing to try again” due to pressure from the presidential entourage onboard.
