I guess wishes were conveyed at Mar-a-Lago and this is anticipatory compliance in response to that + sustained House jawboning.

There’s already an Oversight Board evaluating major global moderation calls. Were they also biased?

Minimizing takedowns of random comments is fine, allowing political content is good (btw that policy was always THEIR call). But this suggests a retvrn to the policies of 2015 - which didn’t go so well in Myanmar etc.

People have really short memories. This really hasn’t worked well for X. It’s going to work even less well for Meta. Community Notes should *supplement* fact-checking.

Is Meta going to have a transparent Notes program? How is it going to incentivize people to work for free?

Zuck threw his teams under the bus for political reasons — “legacy media” need to ask what fact-checks specifically were “biased”.
