I thought this research led by Apurva Virkud, a CompSci PhD student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, was one of the best things on the first day of MITRE ATT&CKcon 5.0. It’s interesting how little of the ATT&CK framework is covered by security tools, and how hard it would be to detect some of the ATT&CK behaviors.
