It's righteous grandstanding in a system where grandstanding is rarely righteous.
It's effective in that it draws mass attention to that reality even though it fights for a lost cause while putting a target on the orator's back. It makes history its reward.
Will it change the world? No. Will it change anyone? Yes. Those persons who value applying acts of righteousness to what they believe will be empowered by his model here.
